Frequently Asked Questions
-
1. What is your coaching style and what can I expect?I don’t believe in yelling to motivate—that’s not my style. My approach is built on education, communication, and inspiration. I’ll help you understand the ‘why’ behind the training, communicate effectively, and inspire you to stay focused and push yourself. Expect to leave every session better than when you arrived.
-
2. Where is your facility located?Off of I-4 & Branch Forbes Exit 17. We are approximately 20-25 minutes from both Downtown Tampa and Lakeland.
-
3. What age is too young to get started?I get this question all the time! There’s no set age to start—every athlete develops at a different rate. A 15-year-old’s session will look much different than an 8- or 9-year-old’s. With younger athletes, we focus on foundational movement, body control, and arm health, incorporating shoulder and scapula work to build a strong base for future development.
-
4. What does my athlete need to bring to the training sessions?Water, workout clothes, sneakers, and a great attitude!
-
5. How long does it take to see results from the training sessions and/or pitching lessons? With training sessions once a week, expect to see gains in about six weeks. Attending twice a week can speed that up to 3-4 weeks. Pitching improvements can happen in a single session, but follow-ups are crucial for consistency—breaking bad habits takes about 21 days, while building new ones takes 42.
-
6. Can parents stay and watch the training sessions?Absolutely! There is a 2nd adjoining air-conditioned wing where parents can sit and observe the entire session if they would like.
-
7. My athlete takes private hitting and pitching lessons. Does he really need Strength & Conditioning?I would make the argument he needs it more than the lessons! Former Collegiate and Professional baseball players all know this is the secret ingredient to player development. Being strong, quick and agile gives you a competitive edge and we’re reducing the risk of injury in the process.
-
8. Do you offer remote or online training programs?Yes! For athletes who can’t train in person, I provide workout programs along with video guidance to ensure proper form and technique.
-
9. What does your Homeschool PE Program look like? Our Homeschool PE Program is all about fun and active living. Each class starts with stretching and light core/mobility work, followed by activities like team sports, nature walks, obstacle courses, or workouts. Occasionally, we incorporate grounding exercises in the strawberry fields, which offer additional health benefits.
-
10. What is your cancellation policy? For in person training sessions/lessons, cancellations can be made up to 2 hours before the start of each session with no penalty. No-shows and cancellations within 2 hours of the start time will be charged for the session.
